This page is intended to clear up a few misconceptions about PETspot, what this partnership means, and what it means moving forward.
PETspot is committed to using technology to improve the online experience of ANKC breeders, advocating for good practices, and educating the public on important canine health and welfare topics.
With our aligned goals with Dogz Online, we decided to partner together and continue making difference given our aligned goals. We are planning some exciting new things for 2022 to improve the PETspot platform and help make some additions to the Dogz Online platform as well.
You will always have the option to use any new PETspot or Dogz Online features in the future, or you prefer not to, then you can still use PETspot and Dogz Online separately, as you always have.

Will this partnership affect how I use Dogz Online?
No, PETspot is a separate platform from Dogz Online. It's completely up to you... Additionally, the payment system on PETspot is also optional, you do not have to use it - however, it's an alternate option you can use with puppy buyers to receive secure deposits and payments.
Is it mandatory for a Dogz Online member to join PETspot?
No, it's your complete decision whether or not you'd like to use PETspot's features. Everyone will remain a Dogz Online member as normal regardless of whether you sign up to PETspot or not.
Why did PETspot partner with Dogz Online?
Through this partnership, we are striving to enhance the online experience of ANKC breeders both from an advocacy and tech perspective.
The Dogz Online team also helped sum it up really nicely:
"Many of our members over the last few years have requested improved functionality on Dogz Online, in particular, an optional puppy payment system, and messaging system. As I'm sure you can appreciate, it takes a long time to implement new features onto Dogz Online in a way that will not disrupt the parts of Dogz Online we have all come to know and love.
These members were then asking me where they could find a messaging or payment system to use in the meantime, while they waited for me to build these optional features on Dogz Online. That is why we partnered with PETspot (which is ANKC only). The PETspot partnership is simply a way for you to have optional access to these features now, while you wait for us to include some of these features on Dogz Online itself.
(note: Dogz Online will be building our own version of these two features, they may function differently to PETspot’s and they will be optional, for more information on either feature, click the link here)"
Will I have to use a puppy payment system now or in the future?
No. As mentioned above, PETspot's payment system is optional (even if you want to use the other features on the system). Additionally, the payment system that will be helped implemented in Dogz Online will also be optional. You will always have the choice to accept payments as you do now.
Does PETspot screen your puppy buyers for you? Is PETspot a puppy broker?
PETspot does not get involved in the screening process of puppy buyers for you. However, what we do provide is the features to make the process of finding good homes simpler for you via the app or website with a range of features like in-app messaging, waiting lists, puppy applications all in one destination for your convenience.
At no point in the process does PETspot get involved in your puppy screening process nor do we encourage this. You can learn more here.
What does it mean for ANKC members that are signed up with PETspot and Dogz Online?
ANKC breeders that are signed up with both platforms can expect to see (OPTIONAL) exciting updated integrations between the two platforms, and additional features that will help you save a lot of time, assist with your management so you can focus more on your dogs!
