PETspot's secure payment system is an alternative you and your buyers can choose to use, that was specifically built for ANKC breeders to be able to safely, securely, and conveniently request and receive money from buyers. PETspot stands behind every payment made via PETspot Pay transaction by guaranteeing full payments to breeders and buyers. We also provide support and access to resources to promote responsible dog ownership. We've built it to meet your needs, from making it easy to accept deposits to automatically keeping records.

In our pursuit of promoting good practices, and advocating for ANKC breeders, we believed that we could use our technology as a force for good to provide a solution to all the scams and disreputable sources conning well-intentional puppy buyers.

Buyers, desperate to get a dog, have trusted people they shouldn't have and have been scammed thousands of dollars through these other options, never to receive a dog. Breeders, already presented with the intensive TLC they provide to each litter, have to deal with fraudulent payment reversals and chargebacks by buyers after they've taken a dog home.

Our goal with secure payments on PETspot is to provide a trusted, secure payment method available only to our community of ANKC breeders that protects members from the heartache of puppy scams and defends the reputation of good breeders. PETspot guarantees scam-free payments to buyers and breeders through our system, by standing behind every transaction. As more people move online for their puppy search journey, these scammers are getting creative. However, we're striving to put an end to online puppy payment scams through PETspot Pay.

PETspot Pay is only available to approved ANKC breeders. You have the ability to request, receive and manage your payments securely online through the app or website, without being charged any fees.

You can request payments through your "Payments" page in your dashboard or in your message chat with your puppy buyer for deposits and full payments. When a payment is requested, your puppy buyer is immediately notified via email and in the chat, and can conveniently complete payment using a credit card or debit card (including Mastercard, Visa, Amex etc...). You'll be notified via email and in the chat, once payment is successfully made and the funds will automatically be transferred fee-free directly into your preferred bank account payout method.

The experience is simple, secure, and mobile-friendly. Each transaction is recorded and updated on your Payments page in the PETspot dashboard, making it easy for you to manage and organize your transactions

PETspot Pay is completely free for ANKC breeders. We charge buyers a Screening & Protection Fee to help fund our ongoing efforts to service the platform, make enhancements, and continue raising awareness of ANKC breeders and responsible breeding practices. The fee also provides payment protection to the buyer and support from our team for the life of the dog, with free access to the new MyPet tool.

The vetting and support fee varies with the prices of the dog but is generally around 2-4%. It will always be listed completely separate from your prices (which is always in your complete control) and the benefits are clearly explained to the buyer at the time of payment.
